The SMS16A-TM stereo microscope boom stands are suited for routine inspection of large samples where continuous horizontal movement of the stereo-microscope is not required.

Tried and true design, premium materials and precision machining have made SMS16 boom stands the gold standard for high quality, durability and economy. The precision ground shafts slide on nylon bearing surfaces and are clamped securely in the solid aluminum cross slider by soft-grip knobs. The stereo microscope mounting is via the industry standard 5/8" bonder socket. Non-bonder style stereo microscope focus mounts and cameras are easily accommodated via tilting and non-tilting adapters. The SMS16 comes with your choice of a table mount or weighted base.

• The SPOT Imaging Table Mount is designed to allow boom stand attachment to 1.0"or 25mm center to center tapped hole patterns like those seen on vibration iso lation tables. It also comes with a backing plate to in crease mounting strength on standard table tops. With this type of mount, tipover and rigidity are not concerns. The TM1 is made of solid 300 series stainless steel to match the anti­corrosion characteristics of the boom stands they support. The TM1 includes the top mounting plate, the bottom backing plate, three sets of 1/4­20 mounting fasteners (7/8", 2 " and 2­3/4 "), and one set of M6 x20mm mounting fasteners. The mounting hole accepts a 3/8 "­16 socket head cap screw.
