Refund & Return Policy

At Empire Optics, we supply specialized optical and scientific equipment. Due to the nature of these products, returns are limited and subject to strict conditions.


RETURN AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED

All returns must be authorized in advance by Empire Optics.

  • Return requests must be made within 30 days of delivery
  • Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or credited

RESTOCKING & RETURN FEES

Approved returns are subject to the following conditions:

  • Minimum 25% restocking fee (may be higher depending on product type)
  • Customer is responsible for all return shipping costs
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable

All returned items must be received in new, unused, and fully resalable condition, including:

  • Original packaging
  • Manuals
  • Accessories
  • Undamaged labels

Items that do not meet these conditions will be rejected or subject to additional fees.


FREIGHT, LARGE EQUIPMENT & WHITE GLOVE DELIVERY (IMPORTANT)

Products that ship via freight, including large equipment, refrigeration units, vibration tables, stands, or assembled systems, are considered special-order items.

  • Non-returnable
  • Non-cancelable once the order is placed
  • Subject to final sale terms

This includes all white glove delivery services.


SPECIAL ORDER & RFQ ITEMS

Products purchased through any of the following are final sale and are not eligible for return or cancellation:

  • Custom quote (RFQ)
  • Built-to-order configurations
  • Non-stock or special-order items

NON-RETURNABLE GOODS

  • Products not in completely resalable condition
  • Products with damaged, missing, or defaced packaging or labeling
  • Products that have been used or installed
  • Special-order or RFQ items
  • Discontinued products
  • Products not purchased from Empire Optics

DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Please provide photos of the product and packaging

We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.


REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR RETURNS

To request a return authorization, please provide:

  • Customer name and address
  • Purchase order number
  • Shipping order number
  • Invoice date
  • Item number(s)
  • Reason for return

By placing an order with Empire Optics, you acknowledge and agree to these return terms.
