A revolutionary design packed with features, the AE2000 sets a new benchmark in affordable inverted microscopy.
Motic’s new AE2000 Inverted Microscope is designed for routine live cell inspection with an easy and flexible setup, ideal for University, routine-clinical, and lab environments. The model’s main applications offer superior image quality when viewing cell cultures in microbiology, living organisms, and tissue culture samples.

The newly designed Binocular Ergo tubes with 360° swiveling “butterfly” design offer the most comfortable observation position, especially useful for prolonged sample viewing. The auto on/off function of the power supply extends the lifespan of the sample and light bulb saving energy. Another added feature, a modular interchangeable illumination concept, allows for the easy transition from Halogen to LED to fulfill a wide range of customer viewing expectations. The improved phase contrast quality of the model makes the instrument suitable for a range of applications that demand precision optics.

The entire microscope and optical train are now manufactured completely Lead-Free, following the International RoHS regulations.
The Motic AE2000 is designed for routine laboratory or clinical work, as well as research requirements in Pharmaceutical Laboratories or Universities and delivers the sharp phase-contrast performance these applications require. The proven CCIS Infinity Optical System includes two Plan Phase objectives (PH4x and PH10x) mounted in a side-facing quadruple nosepiece.

They combine with two N-WF10x eyepieces for magnification powers of 40x and 100x, and a configuration also including the Plan PH20X objective is optionally available. In addition, uniquely integrated features include auto-power-cutoff and an optional ergonomic viewing tube. Standard 6V30W Halogen illumination can be field-converted to 3W LED, adding to a versatile and highly capable observation platform.

The Siedentopf head is inclined at a comfortable 45° and offers Interpupillary adjustment from 48mm to 75mm and includes dual diopter adjustment to minimize eye strain and fatigue. The standard high eye-point FN 20 N-WF10X eyepieces will accept optional plain or graduated crosshair reticles. The Plan PH4X and PH10X Achromatic objectives feature proprietary multi-layer coating for improved light transmission, yielding significantly brighter and sharper images. They are housed in a liquid-proof, side-facing, bearing-supported quadruple nosepiece. A configuration including the PH20X is optionally available below.

The plain stage measures 200mm x 239mm and includes a replaceable glass insert with a 45mm opening, along with a metal insert with a contoured cutout to provide clearance for the objectives. A mechanical stage and a variety of specimen holders are optionally available. Coaxial coarse/fine focus controls include adjustable tension control and are ergonomically positioned for comfort and ease of operation during use.

The N.A 0.30 condenser features an extra-long working distance and a three-ring phase slide set. For additional viewing flexibility the lower portion can be removed from its dovetail mount, increasing working distance to 184mm. A centering telescope and intensity-controllable 6V30W Halogen bulb combine to produce bright, evenly-illuminated images.

For heat-sensitive applications, the AE2000 can easily be field-converted to 3W LED by replacing the Halogen bulb with an optional LED module. For added safety, the AE2000 also features power-smart technology which uses an IR motion sensor to enable "sleep mode" after 15 minutes of inactivity. Normal power is restored upon the user's return.

Each microscope comes with 45mm Blue and Green Interference Filter, as well as diffusion filters each with filter slider. Also included is an Allen hex key, Manual, vinyl dust cover, universal power supply 100V-240V.
