You can choose to configure the 3078 with a Binocular viewing head or a Trinocular head which would allow you to add a Digital USB camera for live image viewing, image capture, annotation and measurements. The 3078 series stereo microscope has a zoom range of 0.8x - 3.5x making an overall magnification range of 8x -35x with the included 10x eyepieces. The 10x eyepieces provide a 20mm field of view, and lock into the eye-tubes to prevent tampering. There are additional auxiliary eyepieces as well as auxiliary lenses to increase total magnification, reduce magnification, enlarge the field of view (FOV) or to increase working distance.
The 3078 has a standard working distance of 95mm which is comfortable if you are soldering or using a tool under the microscope. A glass lens shield is provided with each microscope to help protect the bottom lenses from solder splatter or flux. The pole stand allows you to adjust for various sample sizes and has a black / white reversible plate.
